Georgia English and the Jukebox Kids, The Basement, October 2015

On a warm night in October two bands — Georgia English and the Jukebox Kids and the California Honeydrops — played to a totally jammed audience at The Basement in Nashville. These photos are from the Georgia English and the Jukebox Kids set — loved their sound and presence.

Rayland Baxter & Ruby Rabbitfoot, August 2015

Thanks to the support of East of 8th, I’m able to photograph plenty of shows — which leads to hearing great new music! I’d heard Rayland Baxter before, but Ruby the Rabbitfoot was totally new to me. Both played a great set at 3rd and Lindsley in August as part of the Nashville Sunday Night Lightning100 series. A nice space with lots of viewing options (including bountiful balcony seating!) Be sure to check out both Rayland and Ruby if you ever get a chance!

Lizard Walker, November 2015

Lizard Walker and I are collaborating on a long term project, and part of the process is spending time simply talking. No agendas or planning, just time to refill the well that collaboration draws from.

That said, I will still have my camera in those quiet sessions and thank you to Lizard for these candids.

Hearts Like Fists Archival Photos, September 2015

I have seriously fallen behind in posts! Going to spend some time getting caught up and try to keep this more current because there is a lot of great work to share. First up, the archival photos from Actors Bridge Ensemble’s production of Hearts Like Fists, directed by Jessika Malone and David Ian Lee.

Presented at the Belmont Black Box Theater, the play is a charming spin on the traditional superhero story with some very well-done fight sequences. Shoutouts to all the cast and support, and kudos especially to the lighting and sound on the production!
