I love wide shal­low stream beds. I also like dynamic and churn­ing creeks and rivers too, of course, but there is some­thing very mag­i­cal about see­ing those long runs of rock you get with the shal­lower water.

This is from my first visit to Bea­man Park in April 2019.

This was on a chilly day early March, gray and even. It would be great to spend the whole day from sun­rise to sun­set going around the park, cap­tur­ing the light as it plays across all the fea­tures. But this wasn’t that day. Even with the less-than-inspiring weather, it was hard to ignore all the many won­drous stat­ues and archi­tec­ture around Cen­ten­nial Park.
